Professor Sung-Min Rhee of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Kyung Hee University Medical Center was awarded the Young Medical Scientist Award at the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society's Spring Conference, held from March 26 to 27.
Professor Rhee has made significant contributions through clinical research on rotator cuff tears and frozen shoulder, and has introduced a new classification system for bacterial arthritis of the shoulder, continuing to engage in meaningful research.
He has published a total of 47 papers, with 32 of them as the lead or co-author in SCI-indexed journals.
Professor Rhee expressed, "I am honored to receive this special award, given to the medical professional under 40 who has published the most papers. I will continue to dedicate myself to research and lead the advancement of the shoulder and elbow field while contributing to academic progress."
