Kyung Hee Medical Science Research Institute Signs MOU with Itphy and Modern Pilates.

Kyung Hee Medical Science Research Institute announced on the 12th that it has signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Itphy, a digital healthcare service company for musculoskeletal diseases, and Modern Pilates, a leading Pilates franchise in Korea, on the 19th of last month.


The purpose of this agreement is to strengthen mutual cooperation through joint research and development and educational activities, and to utilize expertise to generate efficient outcomes. As a result, the partnership aims to create innovative solutions in the field of digital healthcare services for musculoskeletal diseases, and to take the lead in developing and distributing Pilates instructor training programs that integrate medical expertise, based on big data and artificial intelligence technologies.


Yoon Kyung-sik, Director of Kyung Hee Medical Science Research Institute, stated, “With the excellent research talent and infrastructure of Kyung Hee University Medical Center, the advanced technology of Itphy, and the world-renowned Pilates education institution Modern Pilates, combining expertise in each field will significantly contribute to developing new technologies and services.” He added, “I expect the platform that connects users, healthcare professionals, and personalized Pilates exercises using Itphy’s ‘RINGDOC’ to be evaluated as an innovative model in terms of digital health industry commercialization.”
